Introduction

In the early days, our department focused heavily on the research of high-performance ship technology, and achieved results in the development of high-performance propulsion systems and the establishment of vibration and noise control technologies.

More than ten years ago, a number of professors with expertise in vibration and noise research were recruited, and they devoted themselves to the analysis and prevention of ship vibration and structural vibration mechanics, vehicle vibration, air sound, water sound and structural sound, and successively constructed completion of structural vibration laboratory, all reverberant laboratory, full anechoic laboratory, and sound active control laboratory. The equipment’s in these laboratories are complete and have the scale of industrial application

Due to the awareness of environmental protection and the requirements of high-quality products, the research and design problems of vibration and noise are increasing day by day. In order to meet the needs of the general public for the research and development of vibration and noise engineering, the "Vibration and Noise Engineering Research Center" was established in 2000 to integrate and manage related laboratories and promote systematic research on vibration and noise issues
